Katy Bradshaw David is a contemporary multi-disciplinary artist who lives and works in Austin, Texas.  She is proud to be an Austin native.

Abstracted, non-representational forms create personal meaning for the viewer through Katy’s use of color and organic line. She is interested in tessellations, the similarities between microscopic and macroscopic forms, and the organic flowing forms created through fluid dynamics. The artist explains, “I am fascinated by the beauty of some scientific or geological images, and I often turn to scientific, medical or geological studies for inspiration.”

Katy is inspired by the unusual color combinations and wobbly blobby lines of Eduardo Bachs movie posters and 1970’s mass-market textiles. While she strives for perfection in what she creates, she knows that it is the visible hand of the artist that makes a work come to life.
